As Tanzania Celebrates its 50 Years of UHURU, Mustafa Hassanali’s, Tanzania’s pan African designer has been invited by HE Muhammad Mzale, Ambassador of Tanzania to Sweden as a designer to showcase his creation to the Swedish and Tanzanian community residing in Stockholm and the rest of Scandinavia.
“I am very honoured by this invitation from our Embassy in Sweden and I look forward to being an ambassador of art, culture and fashion for Tanzania whilst using this opportunity to strengthen the culture ties between Tanzania and Sweden as we celebrate 50 years of independence of Tanzania mainland” stated Mustafa Hassanali
Mustafa Hassanali over the past two months have travelled to Gaborone, Botswana, Luanda, Angola, Johannesburg, South Africa and Niamey, Niger to showcase his various creations aimed at celebrating UHURU, Swahili word for freedom. “We shall not only CelebrateTanzania mainland 50 years of freedom from Colonial rule, but also that Freedom to express one creativity, culture, and Spirit.” Added Hassanali
Being a One Nation, The collection showcased shall see the fusion of Harmony amidst the chaos of different Hues and Textures to bring about a show that is distinctively Mustafa Hassanali yet Summing up Tanzania0
Yet another FIRST from Mustafa Hassanali, He will be the first designer based in Tanzania to showcase his creation in Stockholm inSweden.
“I shall present my collection on 8 December to the International Swedish Community and on the 10 December to the Tanzanians and the African Diasporas living in Sweden. This will be my second showcase in Europe after Italy and so looking forward to a great response of my work from the Scandinavian community at large.” Concluded Hassanali
